You have to ask yourself the question - what is a turkey doing wandering around downtown Manhattan?

Here I am in New York for Fashion Week, Fall/Winter 12.

Just over two and a half miles down the East Side from where I stay is Battery Park and the Statten Island Ferry.

It's where you can go see the Lady of Liberty.

She's pretty big. And free as a bird.

I think you have to pay to witness her liberty however...

Running home from my very free viewing (from a distance) of the statue de la liberte and nearly ran headlong into this guy!

A turkey, roaming freely around the cars.

I also saw some other pretty cool stuff... see?
